This "silent killer" is found in fumes produced by furnaces, vehicles, portable generators, stoves, lanterns, gas ranges, or burning wood in a fireplace. CO can accumulate in buildings, garages, or any enclosed or partially enclosed areas and poison anyone inside. You can help Prevent Carbon Monoxide Exposure with these tips from the CDC:
